The lightning sensor detects strikes up to 25 miles away and the counter displays a running event total as well as weekly and monthly totals with audible and on-screen alerts. The Wireless Rain Gauge features an automatic self-emptying cup and transmits from up to 100 feet away.
The base unit operates on the included AC adapter and optional three AA battery backup. The lightning sensor requires four AA batteries and the rain gauge requires two AA batteries.
